Our approach to Juice Cleansing

Congrats! You've taken the first step in your decision to do a juice cleanse. Since our founding in 2010, we have always taken a non-absolutist approach to cleansing. Whether this is your first time or you are a seasoned pro— the consumption of organic, cold-pressed fruits and vegetables are always beneficial to a vibrant wellness routine.

Juice cleansing, also known as juice fasting or juice detox, involves consuming only fruit and vegetable juices for a certain period, usually ranging from a few days to a week or more. We have developed StockBoxes to allow you to choose how many days you would like to cleanse. Various benefits reported from our customers that do a juice cleanse include detoxification, improved nutrient intake, increased energy & mental clarity and focus.

A traditional juice cleanse is intended to be an all juice commitment, however, everyone’s dietary needs are different.  If you are more active or as the day goes on feel as though you need more calories, please listen to your body and supplement with solid, plant based foods.  Any amount of organic, nutrient dense juice is beneficial to your system and incorporating solid foods does not negate these benefits!

Before Cleanse

  • Preparation is key!  Set yourself up for success by decreasing or eliminating as many rich foods and alcohol 3 days prior to the beginning of your cleanse.  If you gradually reduce these, an all juice cleanse will not feel so overwhelming to your system.

  • Incorporate more water into your days. Take a pinch of sea salt before drinking to promote better absorption.

  • Prior to starting your cleanse, plan what times you will consume each of the 5 juices, to maintain a daily schedule.

During Cleanse

  • It is best to avoid your morning coffee when doing a cleanse, however, reducing the number of cups consumed can also be beneficial.  We recommend possibly switching to matcha or green tea if you are looking to consume caffeine.

  • We recommend consuming 5 juices throughout the course of the day. For example; our 48 Hour Cleanse includes 10 juices in order to accomplish that schedule. If you wish to consume more that 5 juices per day, consider customizing a cleanse with our Mini Stockbox.

  • Consider less strenous exercise during a cleanse as you give your digestive system a rest and consume less calories than normal. Try walking, yoga or pilates.

  • Hydrate! Continue to drink plenty of filtered water throughout your cleanse. Organic herbal teas are also beneficial to incorporate.

Recommended Schedule

Everyone's schedule varies with work and home life obligations. We've developed a loose schedule based on optimal consumption times and traditional waking hours. Feel free to modify to meet your personal needs, keeping in mind consuming juices though your most active hours. (The below schedule features 2-days worth of juices in our 48 Hour Cleanse).

7am - Warm water with lemon / or matcha / or herbal tea

8am - Carrot Juice

10am - Green Juice

12pm - Apple, Lemon, Ginger

3pm - Green Juice

6pm - Beet Juice

(Plant based dinner if needed)*

Before bed - Herbal tea
